One more reason to hate Twilight: It's full of purple prose. Don't know what it means? Here, the definition of purple prose from the Wiki: Purple prose is a term of literary criticism used to describe passages, or sometimes entire literary works, written in prose so overly extravagant, ornate, or flowery as to break the flow and draw attention to itself. Purple prose is sensually evocative beyond the requirements of its context. It also refers to writing that employs certain rhetorical effects such as exaggerated sentiment or pathos in an attempt to manipulate a reader's response. In other words, its too flowery for its own good. Even the Wiki stated so: More recently, Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Cycle and Stephanie Meyer's Twilight_(series) have both been heavily criticised for their constant and unrelenting use of purple prose throughout the entire series.[citation needed] ------------------------------------ Hee hee, I'm starting to love education now. :D Since I have nothing better to do, I'ma list down all my favourite subjects in order of .. merit XD The, uh, ones that would be tested.
